Will My Insurance Cover the Cost of Treatment?
As a courtesy to prospective clients, our admission staff will, with your consent, contact your insurance carrier to obtain a quote of insurance benefits. We will share this information with you to help you make an educated decision about your treatment options and what your insurance may cover. Our facility will negotiate with your insurance carrier to determine a treatment option to move forward with.
In addition to determining if insurance benefits are available, the insurance company must authorize the client to utilize benefits. Insurance companies have criteria for obtaining coverage, and we will help you navigate this process. Our administrative and clinical staff will coordinate pre-authorization, insurance coverage, and payment for all treatment authorized by your insurance company. Our utilization review clinicians will work tirelessly to obtain continued coverage throughout your treatment at The Highlands by completing concurrent reviews with the insurance company. Our business office will bill the insurance and communicate any difficulties to the client and/ or the family.
Just because a client is out of network, doesn't mean they can't receive affordable treatment. Treatment can be affordable using out of network benefits. Please call us today to see how we can help you navigate insurance and access affordable out-of-network treatment options.
How Can I Help Obtain Insurance Payment?
We recommend you consult with your insurance company directly prior to admission to determine detailed coverage and benefit information. Our Admissions Coordinator will also complete an independent insurance verification.
The Highlands has found families that advocate for themselves with insurance companies have the best success in acquiring the coverage and length of stay needed. Thus, we strongly recommend you get involved together with us during this process. Below are some helpful resources regarding obtaining authorization and securing payment from insurance companies.
