Combining data-driven, evidence-based treatment with a fresh approach that focuses on total health and wellness, we are Alsana. An Eating Recovery Community with 10 locations nationwide, we are here to provide superior care and help people on their journey to a recovered life.

From the Latin root meaning “all” or “total health,” Alsana offers a new philosophy of care that is centered on our clients’ full well-being, addressing the aspects of eating disorders that often go untreated in traditional recovery programs.

Jordan Watson, M.A.
VP, Growth and Development
Jordan serves the eating disorder population with national leadership experience in the behavioral healthcare industry. He brings a spirited style to admissions, outreach and marketing that is characterized by authenticity, passion, and mission congruence. At Alsana, Jordan leads our admissions and outreach departments providing an excellent front end experience to our potential clients, families, and referral partners. His professional history highlights a unique ability to develop culture within teams, operate across various functional areas, manage strategic plans that successfully open new clinic locations, and negotiate key bilateral referral partnerships. He holds an M.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University and maintains a diversified knowledge of the behavioral healthcare industry due to his work in the for-profit and nonprofit sector. Lastly, Jordan enjoys his relationships, a great story, spending time with his wife, Chrissy, practicing yoga, and surfing with his family.
Lyn Goldring, BN, RN, CEDRN
Chief Nursing Officer
In her role as Chief Nursing Officer, Lyn Goldring will oversee and develop the nursing program for all Alsana locations, instituting a philosophy of care based on the Alsana Adaptive Care Model™. Prior to Alsana, Lyn developed and implemented nursing programs at eating disorder treatment centers across the country. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree, and is a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Nurse (CEDRN) through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals. “Nursing is more than a job for me, it’s a way of life,” Goldring said. “I’ve always believed that developing one-on-one, personalized connections with each client was critical for building the foundation of trust and honesty needed for sustained recovery. I’m thrilled to be part of a team that shares my passion and commitment to treating the whole person and setting them on a path toward a recovered life.”
Candace McKenzie
Chan Basho
Chief Financial Officer
Chan is a seasoned finance leader with experience driving growth, creating capabilities and developing successful teams. Most recently, he was Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development at HealthCare Partners, one of the largest independent medical groups in the United States. Before joining HCP, Chan led numerous teams within the finance organization at DaVita, a Fortune 300 health services provider. As CFO at Alsana, Chan leads the finance, accounting, information technology, corporate development, human resource, payer contracting, revenue operations and analytics functions. Chan holds a M.B.A from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Finance and an undergraduate degree in Bio-Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Chan lives in Los Angeles with his wife and son, who all share a passion for the outdoors.
Jennifer Crute Steiner
Chief Executive Officer
Jennifer has a history of excellence in healthcare delivery, and a proven record of success. During the last decade, Jennifer has been actively creating positive change in mental health on a national scale. She is driven to improve the standard of care in mental health and eating disorder treatment through impeccable clinical quality, accountability and innovative care delivery models. Jennifer holds a MBA from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business and earned her undergraduate degree in liberal arts from Colorado College. She lives with her husband and three children and enjoys running marathons, reading and being outdoors. She is an ardent supporter of "Lead like a Chiq", a movement she founded that promotes the power of authentically female leadership.
Terry Eagan, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Eagan is a renowned psychiatrist, former Senior Fellow of The Meadows, and founder and CEO of Eagan Medical Group, LLC. He leads Alsana’s medical and nursing organizations, as well as partnering with Dr. Nicole Siegfried on further developing Alsana’s industry-leading care model. Terry’s range of specialties includes primary psychiatric conditions, eating disorders, substance-abuse disorders, impulse control disorders, trauma & abuse, human sexuality and spiritual therapy. Dr. Eagan's treatment approach incorporates pharmacologic interventions with evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapies, adjunctive modalities, and traditional spiritual practices. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and Medical Board of California as a physician and surgeon, and is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Nicole Siegfried, Ph.D, CEDS
Chief Clinical Officer
Leading Alsana’s clinical quality activities, clinical data systems and clinical training, Dr. Nicole Siegfried is a licensed clinical psychologist and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. Nicole is a recognized leader in the field of eating disorders and previously served as National Director of Eating Disorder Program Development at Alsana. She is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at University of Alabama at Birmingham and has also served as Associate Professor of Psychology at Samford University. Nicole is an international presenter in the field of eating disorders and suicidality and a member of AED and former Co-Chair of the Suicide AED Special Interest Group. Nicole has almost 20 years of experience working with patients with eating disorders and helping to transform their lives.
Beata Lundeen
Chief Experience Officer
As a senior level management strategist, Beata brings years of experience working in psychiatric hospitals, chemical dependency residential treatment centers, outpatient, partial hospitalization programs, and eating disorder programs, helping them to create more effective systems and efficient processes in order to provide a client and employee experience that exceeds expectations. Beata will strategically lead Alsana’s client and employee experience program by developing and ensuring the Company’s cultural and quality standards, which are an intrinsic part of the Company’s strategy and growth.
Tammy Beasley, RDN, CEDRD, CSSD, LD
Vice President, Clinical Nutrition Services
Working closely with Dr.Nicole Siegfried, Tammy focuses on program development and staff training to provide consistency and excellence in nutrition programming at all Alsana programs. Tammy has been practicing as a registered, licensed dietitian/nutritionist with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for thirty-two years, of which the last 27 have been specialized in the field of eating disorders. As the first registered dietitian to become certified (CEDRD) with the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals in 1993 and the first Alabama dietitian to receive the Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) in 2007, Tammy is a sought after speaker and leader in the Nutrition field. Tammy led the iaedp Certification Committee as Director from 2013-2017, during which the CEDRD was approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration as the certification for registered dietitians working in the eating disorder field. A frequent speaker at national and international conferences, she is passionate about translating evidence-based nutrition science into practical yet innovative strategies within a collaborative treatment team approach to support full recovery.
Laura Stark
Director, Human Resources
Laura is a human resources leader with over twenty years’ experience in a variety of strategic and leadership roles, with an emphasis on recruitment planning initiatives. In her role at Castelwood she is responsible for oversight and having a significant focus on recruitment and on-boarding for locations in Alabama, California and Missouri. Laura also manages employee relations, compliance, risk management and benefit administration. Prior to joining Alsana, Laura was with mercy Health Systems for 10 years in a variety of roles and brings a wealth of healthcare and HIPPA compliance knowledge to the organization. Laura received her Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri State University.
Brian Cook, PhD
National Director of Movement and Exercise
Dr. Cook has developed and maintained an original line of research focused on examining the etiological role, management, and therapeutic potential of exercise in eating disorders. His education at the University of Rhode Island, University of Florida, and a National Institute of Mental Health funded post-doctoral fellowship at the Neuropsychiatric Research Institute in Fargo, ND has allowed him to train under leading experts in the eating disorder field. Dr. Cook is a sought after expert presenting research at international level conferences (e.g., Eating Disorders Research Society, the Academy for Eating Disorders, etc.), chairing conference paper sessions focused on eating disorders and associated psychiatric illnesses at international level conferences (e.g., International Conference on Behavioral Addictions), publishing in leading journals (e.g., International Journal of Eating Disorders, etc.) and authoring several invited book chapters. These accomplishments are commendable at this stage of Dr. Cook’s career and provide strong evidence of his passion for improving the lives of individuals with eating disorder and his potential to continue to impact the fields of eating disorders research and treatment. Dr. Cook is currently an assistant professor at California State at Monterey Bay. Dr. Cook works closely with Nicole Siegfried and Tammy Beasley to focus on developing the movement program for Alsana This innovative approach changes the functional relationship of exercise from a compensatory behavior to one that functions equally with other components of complete health.
Krystal Tittle
Admissions Counselor
Krystal is a native Californian and has worked in the eating disorder field for the last five years. Her intentions and hopes are that clients experience kindness, consideration, and respect and that the road to recovery is not lonely. She wants to be there to support them and their families. In this field, she has held roles in admissions insurance verification and provider enrollment contracting. In her current role as an admission counselor, Krystal is the first point of contact for clients seeking information and support through the admissions process. In Krystal's spare time, she enjoys a good happy hour with friends, sounds of a great music playlist and spending time with her husband and her Bichon Frise named Kenni.
Carolynn Strothers, MS, AMFT
Assessment Specialist
Carolynn earned a master’s degree from California Lutheran University in counseling psychology, marriage and family therapy, with a concentration in family mediation, in addition to a supporting bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in psychology, with a minor in child development. She joined the Alsana admissions team because she was excited about the opportunity to grow in a new way and to be a part of something new. In her current role, she most enjoys meeting someone in their struggle, bearing witness to their story, and providing support, validation, and hope. As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), she is continuing to work towards her state license and has continued to grow her skill set through trauma competency training. Previously, she worked as a therapist in a private practice setting, specializing in adolescents and children. She has also worked as a school-based therapist for a non-profit organization, helping at risk kids, youth, and families. Carolynn says her husband is her best friend and biggest support. She values family and says she has been privileged to grow up alongside the best brother. In her free time, she enjoys adventuring anywhere, backpacking among aspens, happy dogs, surfing, soccer, sipping coffee from fun mugs, flowers, gnomes, and making (and eating) Christmas cookies.
William Schofield, CADC-II
Admissions Counselor
William is currently completing a degree in psychology with a minor in art. He joined Alsana because he met the team and felt that his ethical and professional principles aligned with theirs. In his role, he loves being the mechanism that assists people in finding the help they desire and being part of a thorough admissions team that provides a very unique admissions process both medically and clinically to ensure the most appropriate fit for our patients. William is a trained interventionist as well as a certified alcohol and drug counselor. He’s resided in several states and now calls Southern California his home after finding personal recovery. Throughout his years of work experience in mental health and addiction treatment, he has seen many types of people progress through successful paths of recovery from addiction, mental health issues, and eating disorders. In his free time, William enjoys film, art, photography, design and spending time with his silver lab. He is originally from Yardley, PA and, as a kid, he found a strong sense of connectivity with nature through athletics and art.
Felisa J. Schneider, MS
Admissions Counselor
Felisa graduated from California State University Channel Islands with a major in sociology and minor in psychology and from Cal Lutheran University with a master’s in counseling and guidance. She was inspired to join Alsana because of the like-minded team members who share similar values and passion around client care and best practices. She appreciates being able to provide support, compassion, and guidance for clients looking for treatment in her role as admissions counselor. Previously, Felisa spent 10 years at a program that supports children and families through residential treatment, foster care, and other services. Her roles included direct care staff, support counselor running the group rehabilitation program, and care coordinator for which she managed a boy’s residential treatment home.
Lindsey Riley
Regional Growth Director
Lindsey joined the Alsana team because she saw an opportunity to be at the forefront of an amazing transformation that elevates eating disorder treatment. Alsana’s talented professionals share her same values and she felt honored to be part of this culture to help people struggling with eating disorders. Lindsey loves supporting the eating disorder community and being a resource for others in her current role. Previously, she spent three and a half years with an eating disorder treatment program developing a strong referral base and executing an outreach effort that successfully opened two new facilities. She brings a relational approach to outreach and is uniquely skilled at developing strategies that grow consistent, loyal referral partners in new markets. Lindsey also brings experience in leading outreach professionals to implement best practices that cultivate and maintain strong bilateral referral partnerships. Lindsey is passionate about the treatment of eating disorders. She grew up dancing throughout childhood and was a dancer in the NBA with the Denver Nuggets for two seasons, and witnessed firsthand the impact of eating disorders. Lindsey has a husband and two kids whom she says are the light of her life. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors.
Andie Hollowell, MS, AMFT
National Executive Director of Growth
Andie received her master’s degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in marriage & family therapy from California Lutheran University where she specialized in trauma treatment. Since then, Andie has worked with the eating disorder population at every level of care and in a variety of capacities. She has fostered her craft treating clients in inpatient and outpatient settings and helped with growth and expansion efforts for programs providing higher levels of care. The ability to both participate in and observe a client’s moving process of recovery is something that she views deeply as a privilege. Having recovered herself, Andie has a deep-rooted passion for working with eating disorders and a profound sense of kinship with the Alsana philosophy of treating the whole human. In her current role, Andie supervises the day-to-day operations of the admissions department and oversees clinical outreach nationally. She is grateful for the opportunity to bring healing to a wider scope of clients and collaboration and partnership with other mental health professionals. Andie also participates as sponsorship chair on the board of the Orange County International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), which provides first quality education and high-level training standards for professionals. In her spare time, Andie can be found with her head in a book or doing something outside with her husband, two children, and miniature dachshund, Carmela.
Teresa Gonzalez, MS, AMFT
Assessment Specialist
Teresa obtained her Bachelor of Science in Child Development from California Polytechnic State University and her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University. She joined Alsana because she was intrigued by the opportunity to collaborate with a group of people who are invested in their professional and personal growth. She feels honored bearing witness to someone’s story and being able to be there for them and says knowing their story is humbling and it helps her grow. Teresa is a registered marriage and family therapist associate in the state of California and has worked with different age groups and populations across therapeutic settings. During her graduate studies, she learned the fundamental coursework and strategies for the treatment of trauma. She worked as an applied behavior analysis technician and provided therapy to children with pervasive developmental disorders. More recently, she provided therapeutic services and treatment recommendations for children and adolescents with moderate to severe mental health diagnoses by collaborating with social workers, teachers, psychiatrists, and other community personnel. She believes all of these positions provided her with the experience to work with individuals facing various cultural and mental health issues. Teresa enjoys hiking, painting and drawing in her free time.
Emily Behrs, BA, CNA, MFT
Admissions Counselor
Emily earned her bachelor’s degree, became a certified nursing assistant and is working on her master’s in clinical psychology at Pepperdine University. Alsana’s quality of care for every client and knowledgeable, passionate clinicians inspired her to join the team, and she is proud of the culture of innovation and leadership within the programs. Emily realizes that entering treatment can be a scary, big change for someone, and she loves being the support person that carries them through the entire process. Prior to doing admissions, she worked in an eating disorder treatment center for almost three years starting as a CNA, then becoming program coordinator. Emily loves animals, especially horses, and together with her sister founded an equine therapy based program for survivors of sexual assault and abuse called SheHerdPower.
Mary Andreasen
National Growth Specialist
Mary was inspired to join Alsana as a National Growth Specialist because of our leadership team and dedication to the client experience. She enjoys connecting with people, building bridges and spreading love and appreciates that Alsana provides a safe place for those suffering with eating disorders to heal. Previously, Mary was a regional outreach manager for an eating disorder treatment program and the co-founder and executive director of The PULSE On Tour, an international traveling dance convention. She was also the director of business development for Broadway Dance Center, NYC and once performed with Neil Young at Radio City Music Hall. In her free time, Mary enjoys yoga, hiking, walking on the beach, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
